You will meet your guide to begin your tour of St. Mark’s Square, its Basilica, and the Doge’s Palace to see paintings by Titian, Veronese and Tintoretto the torture chamber and the prison from which Casanova escaped, and discovering where Marco Polo lived in nearby medieval quarters. Learn the story of the Bridge of Sighs, and continue through Venice’s fascinating, narrow streets to the Rialto Bridge, built in 1590. Next see the Treasury House and the House of the German merchants, and stop at the open-air fish and vegetable market. Stroll through "Hidden Venice" (the San Polo area) and visit the Basilica of the Franciscan Friars.

St Mark Basilica is available every year from 1st April to 31st October.
